Dewan Farooque Motors to Produce Electric Vehicles
Dewan Farooque Motors Limited (DFML) has announced a major update following the resumption of its “Special Purpose Kia Commercial Vehicle” production. The company is set to start production again in August, as communicated to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). This marks a significant step for DFML as it moves forward with new ventures.
Strategic Partnership with ECO-Green Motors
DFML has entered into a toll manufacturing agreement with ECO-Green Motors Limited (EGML) to produce EGML’s electric vehicle, the Honri-VE. This agreement highlights DFML’s role in advancing electric vehicle manufacturing in Pakistan. Toll manufacturing involves one company providing the design and materials while another company handles the production, a strategic collaboration for both parties.
Honri-VE Production Plans
Under this agreement, DFML will manufacture the Honri-VE, an electric vehicle with a range of 200km to 300km. The production is scheduled to begin in August 2024. This timeline showcases DFML’s commitment to punctuality and excellence in manufacturing, aiming to position itself as a leader in the electric vehicle market in Pakistan.
Kia Shehzore Relaunch on 4th June 2024
In addition to this new venture, DFML recently announced the resumption of commercial production for the “Special Purpose KIA Commercial Vehicle,” known as the Kia Shehzore. The rollout and launch ceremony for this vehicle is set for June 4, 2024. This event marks DFML’s re-entry into the commercial vehicle market, aiming to meet the evolving needs of consumers and strengthen its market position.
