Govt Action Against Vehicle Tax Defaulters

The Government of Sindh has started the crackdown against the vehicle tax defaulters in Karachi. The people, who drive the vehicles that are unregistered o r they are driving their vehicles on the open letter.
The government has managed the meeting on 8 January 2019 and this meeting was chaired by Excise and Taxation Minister and it was decided during the meeting that strict action will be taken against the violators. The government has constituted eleven teams and these teams are stationed at different parts in Karachi including Shahrah-e-Quaid, Mazar-e-Quaid, Queens Road, Gulistan School, Kemari, Kharadar, Muslimabad and others. The minister has issued the directions to the officials that they should ensure their presence at these points in uniform and all of the work will be done in smooth way. He urged the tax defaulters to pay tax to avoid harsh punishment. The government will launch this 7 day campaign and it will be finished on 15 January 2019.
Swat Police confiscated 76 stolen cars and 17 motorbikes during their temporary campaign of the registration of non custom paid vehicles being driven in the entire province. The media reports show that some people were trying to get registered their stolen vehicles in the guise of the non custom paid but the police took prompt action against them and they took these vehicles in their custody. The people, whose vehicles have been taken by police, they said that the vehicles are not stolen.
