Here Are New Cars Coming In 2022 In Pakistan

The year 2021 is about to come an end. In 2021, the local auto market saw various ups and downs regarding cars prices, petrol prices and global chip shortage across the world. Meanwhile, we have reached to an end and now preparing to Welcome New Year 2022.

In 2021, two automakers Haval and Baic made their entry in the local auto market of Pakistan. The other companies launched the updated their models. Overall, 15 new cars launched I 2021 including crossovers and SUVs one EV, Two Hybrids, One Jeep, Five Sedans and One Hatchback made official debut in the Pakistani market.

Here we are going to discuss, the cars set to be launched in the year 2022. Let’s go.

New Sedans In 2022

1. Honda Civic 11th Generation

Honda Civic 11th generation is set to be launched in the year 2022 and it is going to be the biggest launch of the year 2022.

The 11th generation Honda Civic comes in both sedan and hatchback. It is currently made available for sales in the international markets like US, Canada and Thailand. The car made its official debut in the global market in April 2021.

11th Generation Honda Civic in Pakistan

The Pakistani market has received the first unit of New Honda Civic. The test unit of 11th generation Honda Civic has been imported from Thailand for testing on the local roads. It is also expected that the company is planning to manufacture the next generation of Honda Civic for Pakistan.

If we see, the Civic X made its official debut in Pakistan after nine months in US and after four months in Thailand. So after few months car was launched in Pakistan. So we can assume that it will take 4 to 6 months to have 11th Generation Honda Civic 2022 in Pakistan.

2. Toyota Corolla Hybrid 12 Generation

As per the latest update about Toyota Corolla, the company is bringing the 12th Generation of Toyota Corolla Hybrid 2022 in Pakistan. It is exciting news for Corolla Cars Lovers, that the first Hybrid variant of Toyota Corolla in Pakistan in 2022.

The Hybrid Toyota Corolla 12th Gen is already available for sale in the international market, the car made its entry internationally about 2.5 years ago in 2021. In Pakistan, the 12th Generation Toyota Corolla Hybrid might be launched officially in summer of 2022.

3. MG GT

The MG GT also known as MG 5 is going to be a 3rd Sedan coming in the local market in the year 2022. A few months before, the MG Pakistan has brought the test unit of MG GT in Pakistan. The MG GT test unit is displayed at Packages Mall Lahore.

The MG GT comes in three variants including Base Variant, Mid Variant and Top Variant. The company imported mid variant for testing purpose in Pakistan. The MG GT will be launched as CBU like other MG Cars in Pakistan. The MG GT is not yet expected to come by December 2022.

New Sedan 2022

4. 4th Generation Suzuki Swift

After a long break of 11 year, Pak Suzuki is finally going to launch the 4th Generation of Suzuki Swift as the 1st generation has been discontinued for a long time.

The Suzuki Swift 4th generation was unveiled in March 2017. The company launched the facelift of Suzuki Swift in 2020. According to reports the pre facelift model will be launched in Pakistan. However, the official launch of the 4th generation Suzuki Swift is expected in mid of 2022.

New Crossovers & SUVs 2022 in Pakistan

5. Chery Tiggo 4 Pro

The year 2021 has been a year of SUVs and we saw a number of SUVs in the Pakistani auto market like MG HS, ZS, Proton Saga and many more.

In 2022, we have also many crossovers and SUVs queued to be launched. First of all, at the start of the year 2022, we will see first SUV, the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro.

The Chery SUVs were announced to make official debut in Pakistan in December 2020 but the test units of the SUVs imported in August 2021. After few months’ trials, Chery Pakistan finally unveiled the crossover Chery Tiggo 4 Pro in an event held at Karachi. The company is going to start the booking of Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and its booking in January 2022.

6. Chery Tiggo 8 Pro

The Chery Pakistan has set to launch another SUV in the Local auto market of Pakistan. The Tiggo 8 Pro was also unveiled recently alongwith Tiggo 4 Pro. The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro is a 7 seater mid size crossover which will compete with DFSK Glory 580 Pro, Honda BR-V, and KIA Sorento. Chery Tiggo 8 Pro is also scheduled to be sold in January 2022.

7. Proton X50

After highly appreciated Proton X70, the Malaysian automaker is now planning to launch the downgrade version, the Proton X50 in the Pakistani auto market. The Proton X50 is a B-segment crossover. It made its official debut in October 2020 in Malaysia and has achieved a high prestige in the Malaysian auto market. The company has sold over 11,000 units of Proton X50 since its launch. The company plans to import the test unit in Pakistan first and then expected to make the official debut of Proton X50 in Pakistan as CKD by the end of 2022.

8. DFSK Glory 500

The Regal Motors launched the Glory 580 and the Glory 580 Pro. The both Glory cars made their position in the market. The company is now going to make another addition in the lineup with a launch of DFSK Glory 500 in the local market. It is a 5-seater subcompact crossover. It is a budget car.

The Glory 500 was officially launched in Chinese market in 2020. It has been a best-selling car in China. The company was planning to launch the Glory 500 by the end of 2021. But not happened so, now the car is expected to hit the local market in 2022.

9. Changan Oshan X7 Plus

The Changan Motors is now planning to bring its next SUV, the Changan Oshan X7 or X7 Plus. The Changan is focusing on the SUV segment since its entry in the local market. The automaker has brought some of the best selling in the local auto market like Changan UNI-T, Changan UNI-K for testing.

Recently, Changan revealed the Oshan X7 Plus SUV by sharing the sketches of the modern SUV and it is guessed as a X7 Plus, the facelift of Changan X7. The company planned to launch the Changan Oshan by the end of 2021, but the time is almost over and the SUV will now come in 2022.

10. Peugeot 2008

After introducing Kia, the Lucky Motors Corporation LMC is partnering with another automaker to launch its cars in the local auto market. The Kia has partnered with French auto giant, Peugeot and the company will launch its first crossover Peugeot 2008 in Pakistan. The Peugeot is a subcompact crossover. The Lucky Motors has imported the test units of Peugeot 2008, Peugeot 3008 and Peugeot 5008. The company will officially launch the Peugeot 2008 in 2022.

11. GAC GS3

Another Chinese automaker, Guangzhou Automobile Group GAC has made its entry in to the local auto industry. The GAC is planning to launch 5-seater crossover, the GAC GS3 which will directly compete the MG HS, Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson.

In 2022, the company is rumored to bring the CBU units of GS3 SUV and in future company will start the local assembling as well.
