Honda Atlas Sales Performance in January 2024

In the initial month of 2024, Honda Atlas showcased a moderately encouraging performance, selling a total of 1,339 units. While this marks a significant improvement of 49% compared to the 901 units sold in December 2023, the numbers still lag behind January 2023 figures by 18%.

Top Performers: 6th-generation City and Civic Sedan

Leading the sales charge for Honda was the 6th-generation City, which recorded 898 units sold in January 2024. This represents a substantial surge of 43% from the 626 units sold in December 2023. Following closely, the Civic sedan secured the second-best position with 309 units sold in the first month of the new year.

Challenges for HR-V and BR-V

Despite the overall positive trend, the HR-V and BR-V models faced challenges in sales, with both vehicles falling below the 100 units mark. HR-V managed to sell 73 units, experiencing a 6% decline compared to the 78 units sold in December. On the other hand, BR-V, although showing a 64% improvement from December 2023, only reached 59 units.

Indus Motor's Strong Start in 2024

In contrast, Indus Motor Company (IMC), the assemblers of Toyota cars in Pakistan, had a promising start in 2024. January sales reached 2,762 units, marking a remarkable 304% month-on-month improvement from the 684 units sold in December 2023. However, these numbers still fell short by 23% compared to January 2023 figures.

Pak Suzuki's Solid Beginning in 2024

Pak Suzuki experienced a slight uplift in its challenges as Alto and Swift contributed to a more favorable start in the new calendar year. January 2024 sales for Suzuki reached 4,550 units, reflecting a 22% increase from the 3,735 units sold in December 2023.

Honda's Changing Landscape: From Heyday to Present

Although January typically witnesses robust sales, Honda's 1,339 vehicles in January 2024 underscore a shift from its heyday when monthly sales averaged around 5,000 units. The current numbers indicate a changing landscape for Honda Atlas in the Pakistani market.
