Honda begins testing Electric HRV in Thailand
The recently spotted recharging of Honda's electric vehicle (EV) e:NS1 in Thailand has sparked rumors of its soon-to-be introduction in the ASEAN region. Honda has expanded its Prachinburi plant for EV manufacturing and is considering battery production in the US to lower imports from Japan. The e:NS1 is the electric version of the 2023 Honda HR-V, and is part of Honda's new e:N brand, which will focus exclusively on EVs. The 'e' represents power and electricity, while 'N' stands for new and next evolution.


Chinese Market
The e:NP1 offers two powertrain options, each with different performance capabilities. The standard powertrain generates 180 horsepower, 310 Nm of torque, and has a 53.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a range of 420 km. The advanced powertrain generates 201 horsepower and comparable torque, and has a 68.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a range of 510 km.

- Remote-operated doors, windows, and air conditioning control
- DMC driver status perception system to recognize the driver’s state, detect changes in emotions, and actively send safety reminders to drivers.
