Honda Launches self balancing Motorbike at CES 2017

In this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, Honda presented its latest motorcycle that includes Honda’s self stabilizing technology due to which this could be the easiest motorbike to ride.
The self-balancing in this “Honda Ride Assist” motorcycle is created with the robotics technology through which it can stabilizes itself as low speed after which the motorcycle at resting position remains stable. This technology was developed initially by the company for its UNI-CUB personal mobility device.
In this latest technology by Honda, the traditional gyroscopes are replaced with electronic motors that transfer the control to a computer at the speed below 3 mph by disengaging handlebars from the front forks. The computer stabilizes the bike by adjusting its front wheel and fork angles according to its lean angles.
Honda also presented an AI technology that combines with ‘Ride Assist” after which the motorcycle completely follows the motorcyclist.

Honda told on its website that these latest technologies will help to reduce traffic facilities as the vehicles will be able to talk to each other that will increase road efficiency and vehicle entertainment.

Honda’s CEO & President Yoshiyuki Matsumoto said that Honda has been creating technologies to benefit people since its foundation. Now, they are trying to create new mobility experience by introducing the future technology.
