How to Get an International Driving License in Pakistan

The applicants should book an appointment online with the use of the Rasta App by the Punjab IT Board. The candidates can download this app from Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. You need to provide the information mentioned in their CNIC and other necessary details and the applicants can get the appointment and select the nearest licensing center. They select the desired time slot and pick the purpose of the visit, which is mentioned in the list. This app is available here for different types of work whether it is used to apply for a learner’s driving permit to issue of national or international driving license.

Filling out the Application Form

The applicants obtain application forms free of cost from the licensing center and fill out and attach them with the following documents:

• Two attested passport-size photographs

• Attested copy of valid CNIC

• Photocopy of the passport of the applicant

• Photocopy of valid national driving license of the applicant

• Medical certificate (for age 50 and above)

• Ticket of Rs.66 obtained from District Court

• Fee voucher of Rs.450 to be paid at the HBL branch.

Note: the applicant may pay an additional fee for an urgent procedure.

The candidates must occupy their original CNICs and passports with their original local driving license.

If the applicants apply for an international driving license directly, then this process will take a long time and if they apply with a local driving license, then the international driving license will be delivered at their homes within 24 hours. The applicants visit the same license center to get the newly-issue driving license, then in the rare case, the delivery of the international driving license is delayed beyond 24 hours.

Islamabad

The resident of Islamabad can approach Citizen Facilitation Center, G-11/4 to get an international driving license. The applicants have to pay the normal fee of Rs.1050 and they take 7 days to deliver the license in urgent cases, they charge a fee of Rs.2050/- and this process takes 24 hours to deliver the international driving permit.

The applicants should note the necessary documents, which are required to provide:

• Copy of valid driving license issued by Islamabad Traffic Police.

• Two Passport-Sized Photographs.

• One photocopy of a valid passport with a valid visa.

• One photocopy of the CNIC of the applicant CNIC.

• Residential proof in Islamabad.

• Driving stamp of Rs.30 by Post Office.

• Medical certificate (if applicable, for age 50 and above).

The candidates can visit the website of the ICT administration and download the application forms and attach all necessary attested documents with it.

Sindh

The residents of Sindh province can visit the official website of Driving License Sindh and they can book an appointment online and choose the license centers.

The applicants who belong to Karachi can pick one of these two centers located in Nazimabad and Clifton as these centers are enlisted for booking an appointment online for this purpose.

The applicants note the required documents:

• Two Passport Size Photographs (preferred to have three).

• One photocopy of the Pakistani Driving license (issued by Sindh Police).

• One photocopy of a valid passport with a valid visa.

• One photocopy of the CNIC of the applicant.

• Medical certificate (if applicable, for age 50 and above).

• Proof of Residence.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The people, who live in KPK province, can get their international driving license by approaching Room No.11, 2nd Floor, Tasneem Plaza, Near Benevolent Fund Building, Peshawar and they will provide the following attested documents.

The candidates will provide the required documents, which are:

• Two Passport-Sized Photographs.

• One photocopy of a valid driving license.

• One photocopy of a valid passport along with a valid visa.

• One photocopy of the CNIC of the applicant.

• Residential proof.

• Postal driving stamp.

• Medical certificate (if applicable, for age 50 and above).
