Kia Cars Prices Increased

KIA Motors has followed the trend of rising car prices and has announced an increase for all its models, which will take effect on January 31, 2023. The company cites the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar as the reason for the price hike. Despite this, KIA Motors has stated that it is not passing on the full impact of the devaluation to its customers and is trying to minimize the impact on them as much as possible.

It's important to note that KIA Motors Pakistan had closed bookings for its vehicles some time ago, and there is speculation that the company is now selling its previously imported Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units, which were acquired at lower prices, at higher prices for a higher profit margin. The company is requiring full payment for these limited stock units, which could be seen as an indication of another price increase in the future. This move by KIA Motors highlights the challenges faced by the automotive industry in Pakistan due to the devaluation of the local currency
