KIA Motors Plans To Manufacture 11 Electric Cars By 2025

The Korean Automotive giant, KIA is planning to produce electric vehicles under its brand; the automaker aims to introduce 11 EVs by the next five years. In an interview, Product Planning Director KIA, Pablo Martinez Masip, said in this regard:

“KIA will have 11 electric models by 2025. We plan to have a full portfolio of electric vehicles – if governments go crazy and decide to have only EVs in 2025, KIA will be ready to be fully electric”

Massip further said that every model of KIA EVS sold in Europe in the first three months of the last year. KIA appreciatesto sell 500,000 EVs and 1 million plug-in hybrid cars in 2025 – with the biggest regional sales in the area.

KIA has recently brought an architecture which helps in fast track production of the vehicles in future. It significantly produced 400-volt to 800-volt powertrain setups that would be featured in a variety of passenger cars in the lineup.

The developments are reportedly part of KIA's "Plan S 5-Year Strategy", which involves investing more than $ 25 billion to further advance technical capability and sophistication, particularly EVs. In view of the age of smart cars, KIA is set to deliver a major blow to the automotive market.
