KIA Shehzore Production Restarted by DFML

Dewan Farooque Motors Limited (PSX: DFML) has announced the resumption of commercial production for the "Special Purpose KIA Commercial Vehicle " branded as KIA 'SHEHZORE'. The official launch ceremony is set for June 4, 2024, as reported to the stock exchange on Wednesday.

Milestone Announcement

Earlier this year, on February 16, 2024, DFML announced the start of local assembly operations for KIA commercial vehicles in Pakistan, marking a pivotal moment in the company’s expansion strategy.

Strategic Partnership with KIA

Back in 2022, DFML entered into a Technology License Agreement (TLA) with KIA Corporation (Commercial) from the Republic of Korea. This agreement is aimed at the production and assembly of special-purpose commercial vehicles in Pakistan.
