Latest Car Premiums 2018 in Pakistan

The automobile industry is facing some issues in Pakistan to deliver the cars in time and now government has announced the SRO, which has increased their problems. The latest SRO states that in case of importing of the vehicle under baggage, the transfer of residence o r gift schemes and the remittance for payment of the duties and taxes can originate from account of Pakistani national sending vehicles from abroad. It is said that the import of the car will become more difficult and it is reported that FBR has exempted the car imports between October 2017 to January 2018 and it means that there are 7000 cars at the port will be given the clearance. The government will implement the SRO again in full power and the new coming vehicles
will again be stuck at port.

It is started that it is good step, which the government has taken and the concerned authorities should find such a way to solve this issue with the production of new cars in the country quickly, which is already very slow. The car penetration is as low as 13 vehicles per 1000 persons and this is the reason that the cars are being imported to solve this issue for the local consumers. The government should pressurize the current automakers to increase their production of vehicle to meet the requirements of the customers. The government has issued the new SRO and the local automakers have increased the prices of their cars in order to get advantage from the buyers. Due to devaluation of rupees, the prices are increased, which is unfair.



IMC has taken the strict action but there are still many cars, which are being sold on premium. It is necessary to mention that we researched the market to get the knowledge about premium and we were confused about this revelation if someone books the car in this time, the booking time is 5-8 months. The car bookings suspension will be started after 2 o r 3 years. There are only two vehicles of Toyota, Altis 1.8 and Fortuner, which are available on booking period of 7 to 8 months.
