The culprit, Mohammad Noman Awan, was stopped by duty traffic officials for using unregistered / duplicate number plates on his vehicle.

The retaliation has sought the help of the Islamabad High Court IHC to reverse the violation.

His lawyer, Advocate Saad bin Safdar, spoke to the media about the matter, and remarked, "It is not a matter of money. 300 But that involved a lot of questions about the law.

According to him
“Under the Motor Vehicle Ordinance 1956, only the Motor Vehicle Registration Authority issues specific registration number plates that are computerized and of the same size and shape. Motorcycles in Punjab must use these plates on their vehicles. However, since the motorway falls under the jurisdiction of the federal government, the laws of Punjab o r any other province do not apply”

Advocate Safdar also said that the National Highway and Safety Ordinance 2000 does not oblige the motorway police to regulate traffic and manage violation tickets at the same time.

Meanwhile, the petitioner paid Rs. Over Rs 35,000 in counseling, travel expenses, and court fees spent over Rs.

Presiding Judge Justice Babar Sattar has issued notices to the NHMP Inspector General to submit his reply by April 29.
