New Auto Policy for Electric and Cheap Cars

Federal Minister for Industries and Production managed the consultative session with the reps of the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association PAMA and Pakistan Association of Auto Parts & Association Manufacturers PAAPAM separately. During the meeting, the matter was discussed the Auto Industry Development & Export Plan AIDEP 2021-2026 and the Minister said that the government like to see the footprint of the electric motors so that they can improve the environment and reduce the import bill of the oil. The proposals sent by associations for Auto Industry Development and Export Plan 2021-2026 were also discussed. The viewers can watch the New Auto Policy for Electric and Cheap Cars.

This new policy will show the further progress and development of the automotive industry with the affordability, availability, quality and indigenization of the industry. The minister also asked PAMA and PAAPAM to send the proposals in order to reduce the prices of small cars so that the cost of the cars can be brought down within the affordability of the lower middle class of Pakistan. Both the associations appreciated the efforts of the government as it has formulated the policy, which is accepted by the important players of the industry. The commended the government for provision of support in crucial times of this pandemic by the provision of salary loans, investment loans and reduce the interest rates in order to protect the benefits of the industry.
