Petrol and Diesel Prices Increased in Pakistan
The government has announced an increase in the Petrol and Diesel Prices Increased in Pakistan, effective from midnight 16 Jan, 2025. The Ministry of Finance issued a notification outlining the revised rates for both fuels. This fuel price hike Pakistan comes as part of periodic adjustments based on market trends.
According to the notification, the petrol prices in Pakistan have been raised by Rs. 3.47 per liter. With this increment, the new price of petrol is set at Rs. 256.13 per liter. This increase is expected to impact transportation and other sectors reliant on petrol.
Similarly, the diesel prices update reflects a revision, with an increase of Rs. 2.61 per liter. The new price for high-speed diesel is now Rs. 260.95 per liter. Diesel, being a critical fuel for heavy vehicles and agricultural machinery, may lead to higher operational costs across these industries.
