PIAF Urges Govt To Introduce Strategy To Monitor Auto Sector

The Pakistan Industrial and Traders Association Front PIAF has is in the position to point out the issues and problems related automotive industry of the Pakistan. PIAF demands the government of to introduce a proper mechanism and law and order for the monitoring automotive sector keeping in view the interest of both consumer and dealer as well. The PIAF demands government to develop a proper strategy specifically for the quality of the vehicles and prices according to the will and interest of both parties.

The Pakistan Industrial and Traders Association Front PIAF has taken this step due to hike in the prices of vehicles even the value of Rupee against US dollar is in appreciation. Recently, the PIAF Chairman, Mian Nauman Kabir said while addressing that the local automakers usually increase the prices of the vehicles according to their will without informing and consulting with the concerned departments. In the past years the prices have been raised up to 40 to 50 percent. There is no proper strategy to increase o r reduce the prices.

According to Chairman PIA, the Engineering Development Board EDB, which reports to the Ministry of Industry and Production on quality control measures and standards, will have to develop a new auto policy after the current company expires, It should be suitable and secure for both automaker and the customer as well.

The Chairman urged, Government should properly consider and monitor the automotive sector in terms of prices and to discourage the illegal premium to collect money.
