Suzuki Phase Will Introduce New 1,000cc Celerio in 2017

According to reports, Pak Suzuki is planning to end the production of Suzuki Mehran and replaced it with locally manufactured Suzuki Alto of 660cc till 2018. But local vendors are opposing this move because sales of parts and accessories of Suzuki Mehran are on high.
In Pakistan, Suzuki Mehran is among the most successful cars and more than 70% substances of the cars are produced locally in Pakistan.
Another news say that Suzuki will try to phase out Suzuki Cultus after introducing Celerio of 1000 cc. In 2000, Suzuki Khyber was replaced by Suzuki Cultus. Prior to that, Suzuki discontinued the production of Suzuki FX 800cc after introducing Suzuki Mehran in 1988.
Pak Suzuki told that the iconic Suzuki Mehran 800 cc will be replaced by the new 660 cc Alto that will completely be produced in Pakistan.
A Senate’s Standing Committee on Industries and production visited the Pak Suzuki Motor Compay Limited PSMCL recently during which these matters were discussed.
Senator Hidayatullah was the leader of this while the other members of the committee were Ch Tanveer Khan. Khalida Parveen and Kalsoom Parveen. The delegation was also accompanied by additional secretary Ministry of Industries & Production and CEO Engineering Development Board.
The senators were informed that the arrangements for local manufacturing of 660cc alto car have already been started. It was also told by Suzuki that imported Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV and Sedan Ciaz of 1300 cc will soon be introduced in 2017.
