Toyota Corolla Cross 2024: Updated Facelift

Following three years since its global debut, Toyota has introduced the facelifted 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross in Thailand, presenting four fresh variants: the 1.8L Sport Plus, HEV Premium, HEV Premium Luxury, and HEV GR Sport. This crossover SUV showcases upgrades across its exterior, interior, and safety features.

Exterior Enhancements:
The 2024 Corolla Cross facelift boasts a redesigned multi-dimensional front grille, lending a sleek and sophisticated appearance to the front end. Accompanying this update are LED crystalized headlamps and LED fog lamps. The honey-combed front grille bears a striking resemblance to the Chery Omada and Lexus RX front facias.

Moreover, the new Corolla Cross is equipped with a frameless panoramic sunroof in its top two variants, along with LED rear lamps featuring light guiding technology. The vehicle rides on 18-inch alloy wheels with a two-tone finish and 225/50R18 tires across three variants, while the GR Sport variant sports similar dimension tires but with a distinct alloy wheel design.

Interior Upgrades:
Significant interior upgrades include the replacement of the pre-facelift's foot-operated mechanism with an electric parking brake, now combined with an automatic brake hold feature. Higher variants feature a 12.3-inch full digital display instrumental cluster, while others come with a 10.1-inch touchscreen unit supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The seats in the facelifted Corolla Cross are available in black or Dark Rose (red) colors. Additionally, the cabin light is now LED, and the top two variants offer a wireless charger.

Engine Specifications:
The facelifted Corolla Cross will continue to offer the 1.8L naturally aspirated petrol engine in conventional ICE form, as well as part of a hybrid powertrain. The base variant features a 2ZR-FBE 1.8L engine producing 140hp and 177 Nm of torque, while the other three variants are equipped with a 2ZR-FXE 1.8L engine, comprising 98hp and 142 Nm for the combustion engine and 72hp and 163 Nm of torque from the electric drive motor.

Safety Features:
The base variant includes blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert (RCTA), while the HEV Luxury variant is equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense suite, incorporating pre-collision AEB, all-speed dynamic radar cruise control with stop and go, lane departure warning, lane tracing assist, and auto high beam. The top two variants, HEV Premium Luxury and HEV GR Sport, offer a parking support brake option.

Safety features also comprise stability control, traction control, ABS, EBD, brake assist, hill start assist, and tire pressure monitoring, along with seven airbags.

Pricing:
The prices for the four variants are as follows:

1.8L Sport Plus – Thai Baht 999,000 (PKR. 77.75 lacs)
HEV Premium – Thai Baht 1,94,000 (PKR. 85.15 lacs)
HEV Premium Luxury – Thai Baht 1,204,000 (PKR. 93.71 lacs)
