Tracker Mandatory for Bikes Summary

Sindh Transport Department has prepared the summary and sent it to the Chief Minister of Sindh to get their approval to make the trackers mandatory for bikes.


According to the summary, the trackers will be installed in new and old bikes and there is no biker to allow him to ride on the roads. If the bike of any rider does not add with tracker as mentioned by the authority concerned, he will not drive his bike on the roads. The authority urged the government in the summary that they will specify the date of installation of trackers and mention the category of the bike, on which the tracker will be installed. After the approval of the CM Sindh, the amendment will be made in motor vehicle ordinance of 1965. When this amendment will be made in the ordinance, the ordinance bill will be sent to Sindh Assembly to get the final approval.


Sindh Minister for transport and mass transit talked with media and said that after passing of the bill in the Sindh Assembly, the companies will be ordered to install the tracker in the bike. He said that with the installation of tracker in the bikes, the government will use it to stop bike theft all over the province. He stated that after the approval, the Excise and Taxation Department will register the bikes, the tracker will be installed in them. There are almost 95%of crimes are committed with the use of motorbikes. When the tracker devices will be installed in them, it will be easier for them to track down the criminals and it will curb the street crimes.
