Unveiling the Zeekr 007 Electric Sedan

Chinese auto giant Geely has officially launched the highly anticipated Zeekr 007 electric sedan in China, positioning it as a direct competitor to the Tesla Model 3 and BYD Seal. Zeekr, a premium electric automobile brand under Geely, expands its product portfolio with the addition of the 007, joining the ranks of the 001 SUV, 001 FR performance version, Zeekr X electric hatchback, and the 009 luxury electric MPV.

Impressive Pre-sales Response:

With its striking design, advanced features, and cutting-edge technology, the Zeekr 007 has garnered significant attention, amassing 51,569 orders within the first 40 days of its pre-sales period, which commenced at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show.

Dual Battery Options for Extended Range

The 007 offers two battery options. The 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) Golden Brick Battery, developed in-house by Zeekr, boasts a maximum CLTC range of 688 km, making it the LFP-powered sedan with the longest range. The alternative is the 100 kWh Qilin battery from CATL, offering a maximum range of 870 km. The 007 can recharge a 500 km range in just 15 minutes with the Golden Brick Battery.

Innovative 'Hidden Energy' design

Designed by Stefan Sielaff, the Vice President of Global Design at Geely and former Bentley designer, the Zeekr 007 features the "Hidden Energy" design language. Notably, a large 90-inch LCD screen on the fascia allows for dynamic displays and communication with pedestrians and other drivers.

Tech-Savvy Cabin with Zeekr OS 6.0

Running on Zeekr OS 6.0, the 007's cabin boasts 21 Dolby Atmos speakers, a rotatable 15.05-inch 2.5k OLED LCD, and a 35.5-inch AR-HUD, all powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor. The vehicle also claims the title of the first mass-produced EV with a vehicle-mounted satellite communication system.

ADAS and Powerful Motors

Equipped with Highway Navigation Zeekr Pilot (NZP), the 007 incorporates twelve high-definition cameras, five millimeter-wave radars, twelve ultrasonic radars, and a lidar for comprehensive ADAS functionality. The vehicle's powertrain includes a 310 kW silicon carbide rear motor, with options for both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD), reaching a maximum output of 475 kW and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.84 seconds for AWD.

Variant-wise Pricing and Availability

The Zeekr 007 is available in four variants with five driving range options, priced between 209,900 and 299,900 yuan ($29,400 – $42,000) in China. As Zeekr expands its sales to Europe, the 007 is expected to reach export destinations soon.
