Dramatic Increase in Car Sales
Following a modest 3% rise in December 2024, January 2025 witnessed an unprecedented 73% surge in car sales. A total of 17,010 units were sold in January compared to 9,820 in December 2024. The year-on-year growth is equally impressive, showing a 61% jump from 10,536 units sold in January 2024.
Growth in Two & Three-Wheeler Sales
Motorcycle and three-wheeler manufacturers experienced 18% month-on-month growth, with January sales reaching 139,161 units. This marks a 33% increase compared to January 2024, where only 104,619 units were sold.
- Atlas Honda: Sales climbed 15% in January, reaching 115,557 units from 100,911 in December 2024.
- Pak Suzuki: Sales saw a 26% boost, with 2,348 bikes sold in January, up from 1,870 in December 2024.
The rise in motorcycle demand indicates a shift toward cost-effective transportation, influenced by high fuel costs and affordability factors.
Truck & Bus Sales Skyrocket
The commercial vehicle segment also witnessed a remarkable 222% increase, with truck and bus sales reaching 621 units in January, up from just 193 in December 2024.
