These Cars Are Set To Launch In Pakistan In December 2020

Various automakers are ready to unveil their high end flagship vehicles by the end of this year in Pakistan. The auto market of Pakistan will get new vehicles in both SUV and sedan lineup in December 2020. The new automakers are coming forth with their best presentations in the local market under the Automotive Development Policy ADP 2016-21. That’s why a wide range of vehicles with a variety of enhanced and innovative features are ready to hit the market. In this article we are going to introduce the upcoming SUVs and sedans from various auto platforms in December in Pakistan.

Changan Alsvin

The Chinese auto maker Changan is set to bring its sedan on 11 December 2020. The upcoming car by the automaker is called Changan Alsvin and it will make debut in the Pakistani auto market as CBU. The Changan Alsvin is reportedly housed with 1480cc engine that produces 106 horsepower and 145 Newton Meter torque. It has 5-speed DCT auto transmission.

Other features of the car include parking sensors, sunroof, Cruise Control and Height Adjustable Halogen Projector headlamps. For safety the Changan Alsvin is provided with 2 Airbags. The Alsvin is featured with 7-inch infotainment system as well. On the price side, the Changan Alsvin is expected to enter in the local auto market of Pakistan with a price tag 2.5 million rupees.

Proton X70

The Proton has launched its SUV X70 on 09 December 2020, and it will be unveiled digitally on 18 December 2020. The Proton X 70 is a compact SUV featured with 1500cc Turbocharged engine. It produces 177hp and 255Nm Torque, mated with 7-Speed Auto DCT transmission. Remember, the SUV is launched in Pakistan only with Front Wheel Drive FWD option. It is a 5 seated car. The price of the car will be announced on its launch.

Glory 580 Pro

The FDSK is also set to come in the Pakistani auto market this month with its compact SUV Glory 580 Pro. The DFSK’s Glory 580 Pro will be launched in Pakistan on 20 December 2020. The Glory Pro is installed with 1500cc Turbocharged engine. The engine creates 150hp and 220Nm Torque, with CVT transmission. The Pakistani auto market will reportedly get the FWD variant of the Glory 580 Pro.

As far as the specs and features of the SUV are concerned it will have 360-degree camera, 18-inch alloy rims, LED front light and electric+ heated side view mirrors. The Glory %80 pro is features with 9 inches infotainment system and the seating capacity of the car is 7 people. When we come to the price of the car, it will be a lowest offer in crossover SUV category and will be available for sale in Pakistan at 4.4 million rupees.

Corolla Cross

The renowned automaker Toyota Indus Motors IMC is also engaged to be a part of this scenario of launching SUVs and Sedans this month. The IMC is ready to bring its SUV in the Pakistani auto market at the mid o r end of December 2020. The CEO of the company said that IMC will unveil the mostly demanded CBUs globally in Pakistan. The IMC is going to make an official debut of its Toyota Cross SUV in Pakistan. Reportedly the Toyota Cross will be installed with 1798cc engine producing 168hp and 305Nm Toque and mated with Direct Shift CVT transmission.

The Toyota Cross comes with a high end variant with LED headlamps and DRLs; on the other hand its low end variants will have halogen lamps. Other features of the SUV by Toyota includes 7 airbags, ABS, Hill Starting Assist System, Passenger Seat Sensor, door handles, electric+auto fold side view mirrors, and shark fin antenna. The Toyota Corolla Cross is likely to come up with two driving modes including Sports and Eco. The company reveals that the price of the Corolla Cross will be 8.5 million.

KIA Carnival

The KIA Lucky Motors has also brought its Multi Purpose Vehicle MPV KIA Carnival to the Pakistani auto sector this month. According to company the Kia Carnival is equipped with V6 engine withacapacity of 3.5L that produces 270hp and 331Nm Torque, mated with 8-speed automatic transmission. The Kia Carnival comes in two variants GLS and GLS+. The Vehicle Stability Management is also installed in the car.

Other key features of the Kia Carnival are Anti-Lock Braking System, Electric Parking Brake, Park Assist Sensors, Rear-View Camera Integrated Memory Seats, Paddle Shifters, Dial Type Gear Shift, Smart Key Entrance and Power Tailgate. Additionally, car is also featured with Smart Sliding Doors, Heated+Ventilated Seats, and two-tone interior. According to Kia, the GLS variant of the Carnival is available at 8.7 million rupees and GLS+ priced at 9.6 million rupees.

MG HS

The MG HS is also one of the most waited cars in the local Pakistani auto industry. MG HS is a crossover compact SUV powered by 1500cc Turbocharged engine that produces 160hp and 250Nm Torque, with a 7-Speed DCT auto transmission. Only CBU units of the MG HS are imported for Pakistani market currently. MG is also planning to start the local productions of its vehicles by the mid of next year.
The MG HS SUV is featured with Paddle Shifters, Rain Sensors, 6 airbags, Anti-Collision System and Lane-Assist System. The MG HS is available for sale in Pakistan at 5.5 million Rupees.
